# Fees & cashback

> What Shroud charges, and what it pays back.

Shroud charges **1% of every trade**, and pays **5% to 25% of that fee back** as cashback, depending on your level. Everything else is the network's own cost.

## What is charged

| Action | Shroud fee |
| - | - |
| Buying or selling | 1% |
| Automated trades (Reflex tasks, limit, grid, DCA and auto orders) | 1% |
| Buys at launch: your dev buy, block-zero and bundle buys, launch plans | 1% |
| Creating the coin itself | None |
| Deposits, withdrawals, transfers | None |
| Claiming rewards | None |

The fee is always shown on the trade panel before you trade. On a launch it comes out of the amount you type: a 1 SOL dev buy costs 1 SOL, of which 0.01 SOL is the fee.

## Cashback levels

| Level | Trading volume | Cashback | Effective fee |
| - | - | - | - |
| 1 | \$0 | 5% | 0.95% |
| 2 | \$1k | 10% | 0.90% |
| 3 | \$10k | 15% | 0.85% |
| 4 | \$100k | 20% | 0.80% |
| 5 | \$500k | 25% | 0.75% |

Cashback accrues in SOL and is claimed from [Rewards](https://docs.shroud.trade/rewards.md). Joining through a referral link starts you at Level 2.

**Example:** a 10 SOL buy at Level 3 pays a 0.1 SOL fee and earns 0.015 SOL back.

## Fees you set

Paid to the network, not to Shroud:

* **Network fee**: the chain's charge to include your transaction.
* **Priority fee**: your place in the queue when the chain is busy.
* **Tip**: on Solana, extra to land faster. Can be zero.

Set them in **Settings → Trade**. Each field shows its cost in USD.

Other services quote their own cost before you confirm: a private send through an exchange, and token locks on the coin page (0.5% of the amount plus account rent). Shroud adds nothing to either.

## Claim limits

The minimum claim is **0.0001 SOL**, and a single claim has a ceiling. Claim again for the rest.

## Changes

Any change to the fee or cashback rates is announced before it takes effect.
